When Bill Arhos, program director of Austin's KLRU, a PBS TV affiliate, sketched out a proposal in 1974 seeking funding for an idea that would bring Texas music and the Austin music scene to the airways, he had no way of knowing it would be the beginnings of one of televisions most successful and longest running music shows in history.

Come mid-September, arguably the biggest, baddest music event in Austin City Limits long history kicks off with a phenomenal lineup of super stars in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, a tribute to the early pioneers of those early days when a man and his dream were set on a mission of discovery and a course of musical greatness.

There's also a planned musical lineup for kids, making the event family-friendly, and food booths and watering stations stretched across the near 50-acres of Zilker Park to keep you full and fresh.

The bad news is that is you don't have your tickets yet, it's going to be hard to get in. As of this writing only a few select days remain with limited tickets available. For more information and tickets: visit the web site.
