 It's being called the largest and most exciting in-water boat show in the Southwest, and thousands are expected to come and "dare to dream" when they view the motoryachts, sport boats,and recreational cruisers on display at the only deep water yacht basin east of New Orleans and west of San Francisco.
The fourth annual Texas International Boat Show gets underway April 22 at the downtown marina People's T-Head where the rich and famous and the average Joe will mingle to view all types and classes of watercraft. Considered "the shoppng mall of the wealthy", the boat show will feature many luxurious yachts and sailing vessels both on shore and in the water. The show prides itself as being the best place for "hands on" demos and the chance to try-it-before-you-buy-it when dreaming about the purchase of one of these premiere boats.
But organizers of the show say you don't have to own a bank to have interest in this event. Many types of boats will be on display, from 10-foot to 100-feet, ranging from bay boats, ski boats, sailboats, powerboats, luxury yachts and the latest water toys, including personal watercraft, not to mention the massive amounts of boat gear and accessories available at vendor booths along the T-Head.
 The boat show will have a supporting cast of two fabulous extreme water sport events geared to heighten the event's ability to garner more traffic from across Texas and the International community. A Professional Wakeboard Tournament and high speed Power Boat Derby racing will both be staged around the marina behind the break wall, both sanctioned events by Texas Xtreme Water Sports. Anglers get in on the action as the HT Cup Professional Redfish Tour runs concurrent with the show
And it doesn't end here. An exotic car and custom bike show will compliment the boat show making the event diverse and entertaining for all ages. Live music from The Bahamas, featuring Mango Man, will run all four days of the event, April 22-25. Rounding out the supporting activities is the Texas International Boat Show Art Contest, making this highly rated outdoor event perfect for the entire family.
